Kimberley Businesses Booming as Thousands of Skate Fans Head to Diamond City for Skateboarding World Championships Maloof South Africa Opening Day from Skatepark of Tampa on Vimeo. (Kimberley, South Africa – September 30, 2011) – Today, the Maloof Money Cup South Africa kicked off in Kimberley with the local South African open qualifier and part one of the Pro Vert World Championships. All 10 pros will compete in the second half of the contest, the Mini Mega ramp, on Saturday with the winner taking home $75,000 cash. Skaters from the Northern Cape competed in the local qualifiers Friday with four skaters advancing to Sunday’s South African Am Street contest.
